BIMSafe NZ is a three-year Project between the Canterbury Safety Charter and the University of Canterbury's Building Innovation Partnership. The project has three broad aims
1. To develop "Best Practice Guidelines" for the integration of health and safety information into BIM models in New Zealand Construction Projects
2. To conduct a case study trial of a live building site using a digital twin model. Technology will be utilised to enable workers to access the BIM model in real time on site.
3. To educate the wider construction sector on how manage, communicate, and mitigate risk using the collaborative power of BIM.
The project is funded by ACC’s Injury Prevention Fund, MBIE through the Building Innovation Partnership, and in-king from the Charter’s Professional Services Working Group
