BioComputingUP is an innovative research lab specializing in bioinformatics and computational biology. We develop high-quality tools and cutting-edge computational methods to tackle complex biological issues, focusing on areas such as structural and functional biology, large-scale and genome-wide analyses, and research on genetic diseases and cancer.
Our mission is to advance bioinformatics through the development and application of novel methods and tools that address pressing biological questions. We integrate these tools into an international network, empowering the scientific community with resources to study proteins across various levels—sequence, structure, folding, function, and interactions.

-Lead and coordinate multiple international consortia, including IDPfun2 and ML4NGP
-Key partner in ELIXIR projects (ELIXIRxNextGenIT, ELIXIR-STEERS), actively participating in Data and Interoperability platforms, the national Node, the IDP User Community, and the Machine Learning Focus Group
Our team participates in leading bioinformatics events, including ELIXIR All-Hands meetings, Biohackathon Europe, ECCB, ISMB, Biocuration, BITS, SIB, and other strategic conferences to share our findings and collaborate globally.
