BioethiCAL is UC Berkeley’s Undergraduate Bioethics and Medical Humanities Society. We bring bioethical events, programs, competitions, speakers, case studies, and research to the undergraduate student population. The discipline of bioethics explores the intersection of biological/medical advancements and their ethical/moral/philosophical implications: an area that is very topical with the recent advent of many scientific innovations. Our aim is to expose students to this important, interesting, and often overlooked scientific division. Interested students can join and come to our meetings in order to participate in and foster a pioneering bioethical community at Cal.
