BIOMINA

BIOMINA is a University of Antwerp (BE) Core facility, built upon the foundations of a strongly collaborating local network, involving excellent research groups from medical, biological and computer sciences. It is well connected and ideally positioned to launch ambitious, multidisciplinary projects, from raw data to interpretation, for example enabling rich multi- omics and single cell omics studies driven by integrative bioinformatics and powerful data mining techniques. This benefits the international visibility of our regional life science community, in medical as well as in plant, animal or microbial research. BIOMINA core is strongly connected to the local hospitals and to industry, enabling translational bioinformatics and industrial valorization of the technology portfolio. Finally, BIOMINA plays a key role in the unique, internationally recognized and growing Antwerp infectious disease ecosystem, where it aims to be a trusted bioinformatics partner.
