Commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia (MWIKE), BIO.NRW is the state’s central network for strengthening biotechnology with our main focus areas of pharmaceutical biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, and bioeconomy. Since 2009, we have been driving innovation and sustainable economic growth in Germany’s most populous and industrially powerful federal state, with our office managed by Forschungszentrum Jülich.
