BirgerMind was established with the objective to enable Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Motor neurone disease (MND) patients to communicate independently by integrating a non-invasive and easy-to-use Brain-Computer Interface.
People suffering from paralysis, who are not able to move and speak in a natural way, are in a constant need for assistance to accomplish daily tasks. Assistive communication devices and dedicated user interfaces are needed for expressing the needs and thoughts as fast and as precise as possible.
Our portable non-invasive BCI solution provides fast and accurate communication for people in “locked-in” state, without the need of a medical operation nor complicated recalibration procedures.
BirgerMind technology allows fully paralyzed patients to use an e-mail client app for reading and writing messages, browsers with access to social networks and news, generate speech out of text, call for help, manage contacts and keep track on all offline writings and notes.
