PT Bitratex Industries is a joint venture company of Thakral group and Tolaram group from Singapore. Its manufacturing plant is located in Semarang, the capital city of Central Java Province of Indonesia. By incorporating three different yarn spinning technologies - Ring Spinning, Open End Spinning and Vortex Spinning, the company manufactures a wide variety of raw white spun yarns for production of woven and knitted fabrics suitable for apparel, furnishing, automotive and industrial sectors. Bitratex started its business in the year 1979 with a capacity of 25,000 spindles and has grown to 150,000 spindles as of now and produces more than 40,000 metric tons of spun yarns every year. Bitratex serves both international and domestic markets and exports a major share of its production. The company's yarns have been acknowledged for its quality in more than 50 countries across the globe. The remarkable and consistent export performance of Bitratex has been honored by the Government of Indonesia on 8 occasions with its prestigious "Primaniyarta Award".
