BKTEF is a non-profit organization established in 2007, committed to socio-economic uplift of underprivileged communities through an extended free and subsidized educational program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan.
In Pakistan, 22.8 million children aged 5-16 are out of school, with 4.7 million out-of-school children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone. BKTEF aims to address this issue by providing free and subsidized schooling to children of remote and marginalized areas.
We draw inspiration from the work of the renowned reformer and leader Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, popularly known as Baacha Khan, who established over 100 community-based schools in the late 1920s.
Currently, we run 14 schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan, and have plans to expand to Punjab and Sindh, while continuing to develop strategies to open more schools in underdeveloped areas across Pakistan.
