Learning, Estimation and Control Team (LECT)

The Learning, Estimation and Control Team (LECT) was founded by Professor Guido Herrmann, University of Manchester, as the team associated with the researchers having worked within the projects and team under the Investigator management of Professor Herrmann. It conducts internationally prize-winning research. We address the research problems relating to modelling, simulation, estimation and control of mechanical and mechatronics systems. Our team focusses on developing novel robust optimal, adaptive and also modern AI and learning-based algorithms for engineering applications: • Automotive Systems • Control using communication networks • Nano-Precision Systems • Robotics
