Blue Coast Engineering Inc is a small woman owned professional services firm specializing in coastal engineering, coastal geomorphology, estuary restoration design and shoreline stabilization (soft and hard). Blue Coast was started in 2018 by Jessica Côté, a Professional Engineer (WA, AK) who has been leading feasibility studies, assessments, design, construction, and management of projects which require coastal design criteria such as extremal water levels, wave loads, wind-waves, tidal currents and sediment transport/scour potential since 1999. Blue Coast has extensive experience working with collaborative teams of engineers and scientists to successfully deliver projects from conceptual design through construction. We combine physical measurements, engineering analysis, and numerical modeling to determine the design criteria for coastal infrastructure, habitat restoration and coastal flood protection.
