Blue Cradle Foundation

The Blue Cradle Foundation is a marine research and ocean literacy education organisation with the main objective to make ocean science more accessible for a range of different audiences. Our goal is to accompany, influence and transform the marine science and conservation sector in Aotearoa New Zealand, working with leading institutions and companies and partnering on interdisciplinary scientific research across the country and the Asia-Pacific region. One of our goals is to inspire a new generation of marine scientists and ocean conservationists, while enhancing the general public's ocean literacy. The Blue Cradle Foundation works supporting marine conservation and the regenerative blue economy in quest for ocean health impact solutions, and creating inspiring documentaries. We are aligned to the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030). The Blue Cradle Foundation is based in Ōtautahi/Christchurch on the South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand (Te Waipounamu).
