Moving and treating water for agricultural, commercial, industrial, and residential purposes accounts for significant annual electricity consumption. The energy used to move and treat water can be “recaptured” through BluPower Energy Recovery Hydropower. BluPower Energy recovery hydropower harnesses mechanical energy from moving water that is unutilized within existing pressurized water supply pipelines and converts it to electricity. Energy recovery hydropower utilizes existing, pressurized, manmade water conveyances that are already diverting water from a natural waterway for the primary purpose of distributing water for agricultural, municipal, or industrial consumption.
