Boho Arts is a participatory performing arts charity in Newcastle upon Tyne. We specialise in improvisation as an art form, creative tool and guiding principle for life. Our mission is to break down barriers and improve access to participation. Through our flagship adult learning and participation programme, School of Improv we deliver weekly evening classes 3 nights a week in Newcastle. “I feel like I can conquer anything when I leave one of your workshops” Community Events - Come with your family and friends to our free Sunday Gatherings that celebrate artistic expression and brings people together." Inclusive Creative Arts Venue: Join us on our journey. 2 1/2 years in development, our campaign to open a community arts hub here in Newcastle has gained huge public support, with significant help from North of Tyne Combined Authority and Creative Central NCL. Our successful crowdfunding campaign, which raised £44,000, helped to unlock the major capital funding we need to repurpose the vacant property we found in town into a vibrant home for creativity that brings people of all ages together as part of a community; a place where different artforms intersect and creative innovation sparks. We’re seeking a further £££ and we’re on the way to beginning construction this year, with the aim of a Spring 2025 launch. We're firm believers that social connections are the roots of a happy, healthy and flourishing society. Engaging with people from diverse backgrounds, sharing experiences, and exchanging ideas freely, not only during organised activities, but before, after and between - that's where authentic connections lie and where the arts and creativity make a real difference.
