Bonim MeHadash

Bonim Mehadash will be dedicated to the establishment of a broad consensus vision of the future of Israel, conduct deep policy work, create new capacity where needed, and make this work broadly available. The issues that need to be addressed are long-term and structural and many have not been addressed because they challenge entrenched interests or lack a consensus solution. That is not a reason to shy away from those issues. It is not enough to fix what is wrong, we must evolve a new vision for what it means to be Israeli; for the society we want to have; and for government that protects the country, builds the society and addresses inequality. Bonim Mehadash will be committed to Israel’s security; its social resilience and cohesion; concern for all citizens of Israel, not just interest groups; a constitutional settlement; restoration of the public systems and confidence in them; reliance on professional personnel, expertise, data, and information in order to address the biggest challenges that we face; changing the status quo regarding the Palestinian territories with the aim of bringing about maximum security and stability in Israel; granting security to the Arab minority and creating an ethos of shared citizenship between Jews and Arabs in Israel. In other words, to a liberal-democratic Jewish nation-state that provides security and liberty to all its citizens.
