Boroondara Stroke Support Group

We are a support group of stroke survivors and their carers based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. Stroke can occur at any age, and survivors and their families may feel isolated by their stroke-related physical, mental, communication and social disabilities. The lives of the primary carers of stroke survivors may be severely impacted as well. We aim to provide support to stroke survivors, their carers and family members living in and around the Boroondara area. In doing so, we hope to become a 'bridge' that enables stroke survivors and their carers to safely make the transition from clinical care in hospital to community care, and to start rebuilding their post-stroke lives.
