The Bracket Project

The Bracket Project is an undergraduate-led research initiative across the University of Edinburgh, UCLA, UC Berkeley, CU Boulder, and Stanford. Our work focuses on proactively addressing the loneliness epidemic by fostering social connections rooted in shared interests and personality traits. We’ve developed an innovative method to quickly assess individuals' OCEAN (Big Five) personality traits and designed algorithms to match compatible personalities into groups. In the near future, we’ll be releasing papers and conducting practical research tests to further explore how personalized group connections can strengthen social bonds—and we look forward to sharing more soon!
