BRCA+ Chat is a UK charity which aims to support anyone navigating a BRCA (or other) gene mutation. Whether you are considering testing, have already been tested, have been diagnosed with cancer, or are a buddy wanting to support a friend, we are here for you.
BRCA+ Chat was founded in 2021 by Christen Williams and Lisa Bancroft who both have lived experiences navigating a BRCA mutation.
Our board of Trustees are (mostly) all BRCA+ Mutants, who all felt overwhelmed and alone when first diagnosed. We recognised a need for more support services in the UK – and just wanted a friendly BRCA buddy to spell it out to us.
We are not here to provide medical advice, but we can support emotionally, or put you in touch with services that can help.
