Our Vision The Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association (BRCA) facilitates involvement and opportunities that attract, connect and sustain a diverse network of people and businesses to improve our collective quality of life. Our Mission The BRCA’s mission is to foster the vision for Bridgeland-Riverside by serving and engaging residents and other stakeholders of our community through: •Facilitating the development and delivery of recreational and social programs •Connecting the community with information and opportunities •Engaging with the community to support healthy commerce •Stewarding the land and facilities under the society’s care and making them optimally accessible to the community •Coordinating and communicating urban planning issues for the future development of Bridgeland-Riverside, preserving its values, while supporting its evolution. The community of Bridgeland-Riverside in Calgary is located northeast of the city centre. Ours is a desirable community to live in because of its rich historical heritage, proximity to downtown Calgary and natural environments, and our burgeoning community spirit. We take pride in building its distinctive friendly, walkable village feel with an urban vibe. Bridgeland-Riverside is bounded by Bow River to the south, Deerfoot Trail to the east, Edmonton Trail to the west, and Renfrew to the north. Bridgeland is consistently rated in the top 10 in Calgary in both Avenue Magazine's "Best neighbourhoods" and rated as one of Calgary’s “Five most livable neighborhoods” in Fast Forward Weekly magazine. It was named "Best Neighbourhood" by Best of Calgary in 2017. The BRCA was the first of Calgary's community associations. The BRCA is a Society governed by its Bylaws, effective as of date of registration - August 29, 2017. Its Board of Directors encourages all community members to get involved in the process of building a strong, vibrant and safe community.
