Breathe Global is a North American medical device startup that believes that Negative Pressure Ventilation (NPV) technology can be utilized to treat Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and a variety of respiratory problems including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and those caused by smoking, air pollution, and occupational hazards.
By modernizing the iron lung to make it all-in-one lightweight and wearable jacket, Breathe Global wants to provide an alternative therapy option the millions of lives that are lost due to inadequate or nonexistent respiratory aid in the treatment of COPD and to allow patients to take greater ownership of their own healthcare.
The Venti reinvents pulmonary care worldwide to patients while they’re awake and asleep. Our mission is to assemble a team of doctors, inventors, builders, and hardware / software experts to design and build safe, inexpensive, easy-to-use, negative-pressure assisted breathing devices that can be worn without limiting the user’s everyday activities.
