Baltimore Roundtable for Economic Democracy

As forward-thinking business owners sell their treasured businesses to their treasured employees, BRED provides advice and capital to employees and business owners through all stages of the transaction, creating employee-owned businesses. We combine training, advice and patient financing with non-extractive loan terms in service of employee-owned, cooperative businesses and businesses that are transitioning to cooperative, employee ownership. BRED is a Maryland nonprofit and a peer member of Seed Commons. Seed Commons is a 501c3 nonprofit and a community development financial institution (CDFI), certified by the US Treasury Department.
