BRIGHT Run is an annual fundraising event supporting local breast cancer research being conducted at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Each year over 1500 participants and 200+ volunteers gather together at Christie Lake Conservation Area in Dundas Ontario to walk or run either a 1km or 5km route. Then they celebrate!
BRIGHT Run welcomes participants of all ages, stages and abilities as well as well mannered four legged friends too.
BRIGHT Run is organized and hosted entirely by volunteers and has no paid employees or staff - all volunteers.
Every dollar raised by BRIGHT participants goes directly to breast cancer research.
Community Partners fund all event related expenses.
Since inception in 2008, BRIGHT Run has raised more than $5.5 million to fund local breast cancer research projects and initiatives.
