Founded in 1875 by James Brown, one of the many youth British entrepreneurs who came to the shores of Sri Lanka in search of fortune, opportunity and adventure. A pioneer in precision engineering and agriculture mechanization, Browns, today, is a dominant force in the fast-changing corporate world of the island. Building on these decades of trust and expertise, Browns Engineering & Construction was established in 2018 as a subsidiary of the Browns Group, which is backed by the largest diversified conglomerate in Sri Lanka, LOLC Holdings.
