Brunel Autonomous Racing Team is a newly formed student-led organization that aims to take part in FS-AI competition with the challenge of building and developing systems that allow a car to run fully autonomous. Similar to the main Formula Student competition, teams partaking in FS-AI static must present a design and business plan presentation with the cost & manufacturing replaced by a Real-World Autonomous event where teams showcase their understanding and practical solutions for the integration of autonomous vehicles as a future transport solution. In dynamic events, teams must complete a series of autonomous missions with Acceleration, Skid Pad, Sprint Track Drive (Endurance) events. These challenges demonstrate teams’ technical knowledge and understanding as well as the effectiveness of their autonomous driving systems.
