build4good, an initiative of New America is a skill-building and mentoring internship program that matches post-secondary students with mission driven nonprofits. The program aims to inspire a network of future leaders to develop socially minded technology, explore public service oriented careers, and raise awareness with the host nonprofit and other mission-driven organizations on how to build for good.
Since summer 2020, build4good interns have had opportunities to hear from professionals about different education and career pathways and learn skills such as project management, people development, and new programming languages. Intern projects have included website development, app development, accessible edtech, game development, and data analytics, integration, management, and visualization.
