Building Performance Architecture (BPA) is a building energy consulting and architecture firm. BPA has delivered energy efficiency to over 3,000 dwelling units, and has provided Passive House field verification services for the first PHIUS+ certified apartment building in the U.S. BPA has led the largest building envelope air leakage testing projects ever conducted in the Pittsburgh region. BPA has conducted ASHRAE building energy audits, leading to substantial energy savings and institutional re-orientation toward green operations. BPA has conducted building envelope commissioning for both private and public clients, and is familiar with multiple building rating systems, including LEED, ENERGY STAR, and Passive building certification. BPA helps to incorporate performance metrics and quality control methods into construction documents for both BPA-designed projects and projects designed by others. Finally, BPA has served as architect for multiple energy efficiency retrofit projects.
