Financial Leasing started within the organization of Tekfen Finance and Investment Bank in 1989(Tekfen Finansman ve Yatırım Bankası).
Owneship of the company was transferred to Tekfen Yatırım ve Finansman Bankası A.Ş. on June 30, 2001. The name of the company changed to Tekfen Finansal Kiralama A.Ş.
Tekfenbank A.Ş. sold 70% of shares to EFG Eurobank Ergasias S.A. on March 16, 2007. The new management took place as of November 2007. The name of the company was changed to EFG Finansal Kiralama A.Ş.(EFG Leasing) on January 29, 2008.
Burgan Bank S.A.K., the main subsidiary of KIPCO Group acquired 99.26% of the shares of Eurobank Tekfen A.Ş. on 21 December 2012 and became the main shareholder of the Bank, the latter possesses 99,99% of our companies shares.
Burgan Bank S.A.K. decided to continue its investments in Turkey under its own brand name. In line with this decision the name of our main shareholder has changed as of January 28, 2013 to Burgan Bank A.Ş. and the name of our company to Burgan Finansal Kiralama A.Ş. on the same date.
