Burleigh (Burgess & Leigh Ltd) has been crafting fine earthenware pottery in Stoke-on-Trent since 1851, and has operated from the iconic Middleport Pottery since 1889. Famed for its richly detailed transferware patterns and deep-rooted commitment to traditional techniques, Burleigh remains the only pottery in the world to continue the centuries-old method of underglaze tissue transfer printing by hand. Every piece is made using time-honoured skills passed down through generations of craftspeople. Today, Burleigh pottery is exported globally and can be found in luxury retailers, boutique hotels, and acclaimed restaurants across the USA, Japan, South Korea and beyond.
