The Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) started the first work around Social Procurement in 2008, while the first “Buy Social” market development campaign was launched by Social Enterprise UK (SEUK) in 2012. Since then, the movement has continued to develop exponentially leading to 2023, when 23 partners in 17 countries have joined forces to create the Buy Social Europe B2B initiative.
Buy Social Europe B2B empowers social and mainstream enterprises to find each other and forge sustainable trade partnerships. Our coalition gathers leading experts and practitioners in the field of social procurement. Together we’re creating a network of trusted partners, building the capacity and trade readiness of both social and mainstream enterprises. We’re gathering data and best practices, and we’re raising the awareness about social procurement and social entrepreneurship across Europe and around the world.
