Blair Vago is a 1983 graduate of the Master’s program at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and a licensed Certified Public Accountant (California-active #99680). Most recently, Blair was the Vice President Global Accounting and Principal Accounting Officer of Selina Holding Company, S.E., a rapidly-growing, UK- based real estate/hospitality company with 80+ hotels operating in 20 countries in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and the US. His remit included external reporting for 150+ legal entities, international tax structuring/compliance, partnership accounting, technical accounting, the oversight of a staff of 125+ accountants and a shared service center in the Republic of Panama. In this and prior roles, he has supported the raising of over $1 billion of capital including the successful $180 million IPO on NASDAQ Global Select of a large US oil and gas company. Mr. Vago has completed expat and foreign assignments in Ecuador, Panama, Bermuda, Canada and is fluent in Spanish. Blair began his career in hospitality with Marriott and has devoted 20+ years to the industry including with Hilton Hotels Corporation, Marriott Corporation and Ace Hotels in operations finance and operations. He has guest-lectured in accounting/finance at Universidad de Las Americas, Quito Ecuador, Bermuda College and Baruch College.
