Founded in 2011, Sunburst Projects Kenya is a beacon of hope and support for orphaned and vulnerable children, adolescents, and youths, including those living with & affected by HIV/AIDS. Our mission is to address their psycho-social and educational needs, fostering environments where these young individuals can thrive and reach their highest potential. At the core of our efforts is the belief that every child and adolescent deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their circumstances. We are dedicated to creating stigma-free communities that offer comprehensive support and empowerment. Through our programs, we aim to transform lives and build resilient futures. Key Programs; - Adolescent Support Group: Our bi-monthly peer support sessions provide a safe space for adolescents living with HIV/AIDS to share their experiences, cope with challenges, and build a sense of community. These sessions are crucial for addressing issues like stigma, medication adherence, and emotional well-being. - School-Based Outreach: This initiative focuses on HIV/AIDS prevention education, testing, and anti-stigma workshops in schools. By educating both students and teachers, we strive to reduce stigma and promote a more inclusive and supportive educational environment. - Teenage/Young Mothers Program: We offer specialized support for young mothers living with HIV/AIDS, helping them navigate the challenges of parenthood while managing their health. This program aims to empower young mothers to lead healthy, productive lives. - Camp Sunburst: Our recreational and educational camps are designed to enhance life skills and well-being. These camps provide a unique opportunity for youths to learn, grow, and develop in a supportive and fun environment.
