Cadgal includes two beautiful properties in Piedmont: Tenuta Valdivilla, which takes its name from the hamlet of Santo Stefano Belbo in the Langhe area, and Tenuta La Cova in Calamandrana, in the heart of the Monferrato Asti area. Born in 1989, the wine company has the main mission of redefining the identity boundaries of Moscato d'Asti. The wine project focuses on the vine, enhances its personality linked to the terroir and translates it into important sweet wines that benefit from the passing of time. First of all, the Moscato d'Asti Vigna Vecchia, produced in very limited quantities, which ages for 60 months immersed in sand: a unique method that led to surprising results of richness, finesse and longevity. Taken for granted the value and centrality of research on Moscato d'Asti, Alessandro Varagnolo and his team focused on the production of wines from native and international varieties, too, coming from the two estates: Barbera, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. Both Tenuta La Cova and Tenuta Valdivilla offer a high-end hospitality service in full Cadgal style, in the name of elegance and authenticity, ideal for guests who wish to relax, discover the flavors of the area, and experience the magic of the Langhe and Monferrato.
