About UCI SMART Industrial Training and Assessment Center

The UC Irvine Industrial Assessment Center provides no-cost onsite energy, productivity, and waste reduction assessments to small-and medium-sized manufacturers. Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, we help facilities cut costs, reduce energy use, and improve efficiency, often uncovering 10–20% savings with projects that pay back in under two years. Our team of UC Irvine faculty and engineering students delivers detailed technical reports with actionable recommendations and economic analyses.
