Kennesaw Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC)

The Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC) at Kennesaw State University, established in 2021, focuses on improving energy efficiency, productivity, and smart manufacturing practices in Georgia’s industrial sector. The ITAC center conducts energy audits and cost-saving assessments through interdisciplinary teams of engineering faculty and students, often identifying over $150,000 in potential annual savings per facility. In addition to serving industry, ITAC provides KSU engineering students with hands-on training for careers in energy efficiency and smart manufacturing, fulfilling its mission of advancing both manufacturing resiliency and workforce development.
