Cameron Motor Group

Cameron Motor Group company information, Employees & Contact Information

The Business was founded in 1930 by Ian H. Cameron, with a loan of £300 set up at Bridgend, Perth, in what used to be the old Perth Hunt stables. The business closed from 1939 - 1945 during the war years. In the 1950s, a new dealership was opened in Scone, where Volkswagen was eventually located in 1953. In 1958, Volvo was acquired, a virtually unheard of car, built in Sweden to a very high standard compared to the competition. We are now recognised as the longest serving dealers for VW & Volvo in the UK. In 1970 Douglas Cameron took over the running of the business, & in 1973 signed the contract for Audi. New premises were built on Dunkeld Road, firstly for Volvo in 1972, Renault in 1976, then Volkswagen in 1984 & finally Perth Audi in 1995. The business is still owned by the Cameron family & employs over 160 members of staff.
