The steering of TBMs is carried out by control of the difference between the thrust cylinders elongations during the excavation. A ring sequences pre-calculation software and a piloting assistance tool allow a precise tracking of the trajectory.
The position of the TBM is recorded using a survey system that automatically locates the exact position of the TBM against the theoretical axis of the project.
The monitoring of TBMs is carried out with a real time data acquisition chain of the excavation parameters and a database allowing the recording, organization and analysis of all excavation parameters.
With a very large range of configurable settings, the CAP system will answer any projects needs. It integrates modern data displaying modules and it allows the synthesis of information about the tunnel environment. The effects of the excavation works are then understandable very easily and this significantly increases the safety of the works.
