Care2Run was founded in 2015 as a non-profit social enterprise under Wildpac Asia PLT. We aim to transform differently-abled young people and young people from under-served communities to become tomorrow’s leaders via evidence-based adaptive sports programmes.
The term ‘sports’ is often viewed as synonymous with structured competitions. At Care2Run, we adopt a broader view, which includes the dimensions of self-development, recreation and adventure.
We use sports to enhance executive functions in young people, and we help them build social skills as well as improve their overall physical, mental health and psychological well-being.
Among our current partners and collaborators is the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM), schools under the Ministry of Education Malaysia, Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation, as well as the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Malaya, the University of Tsukuba (Japan), University of Nottingham Malaysia and the Dutch organization for health research and care innovation, ZonMw.
