80% of persons with a disability lives in low-income countries. They experience comparatively lower educational attainment, higher unemployment rates, worse living conditions, and higher poverty rates. Orthopedic care is life-changing: it beats poverty, improves health and increases quality of life and productivity. Also, it increases productivity: for every dollar invested in assistive technology, there is a return of $9. In Colombia, 95% of the people are insured, but there is little access to quality orthopedic care outside capital cities.
Our business
Carewithinreach enables the professionalisation and decentralisation of orthopedic care in upcoming economies in secondary cities, starting in Colombia.
Our clinics are one-stop-shops for orthopedic care, offering a full range of customized and accessible orthopedic products and services, helping clients to regain their mobility. This way, we offer life-changing care for healthier lives and thriving communities, leading to stronger and more inclusive health systems.
Our results and impact:
We are the proud owners of the first and only orthopedic clinic in the province of Boyaca - providing access to 1.000.000 people. This way, we drastically reduce travel times and costs for people with a disability, creating access to qualitative care in the vicinity of people’s homes. We have served over 2700 people since we opened our doors in 2021, and we make profit. We are currently opening a second center in the city Monteria.
