CARISCA is a global supply chain research center based at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana. CARISCA’s goal is to advance African supply chains to improve quality of life.
CARISCA is working in four main focus areas: research, stakeholder engagement, curriculum, and access and inclusion. Together, these activities will enable KNUST to increase research capacity, strengthen and update supply chain curricula, provide supply chain management expertise to Ghana and Africa, develop partnerships and revenue-generating activities to sustain ongoing growth and influence, and encourage and promote the inclusion of women and other disadvantaged groups.
Arizona State University (ASU) partners with KNUST on the CARISCA project and is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
