Simply put: we make maps. But the story goes much deeper than that. Map making is visualizing our world - removing the clutter and seeing a picture that uncovers the new and interesting. Answering questions and organizing space through geography using principles and standards dating back to 100 AD. In the Web 2.0 era open sourced data and multiple web-based mapping services have allowed for cartography to be accessible to the masses. However, the new world left age old cartographic standards behind. Carticulate looks to bridge that gap. We look to combine the worlds of information visualization and graphic design with the strong foundation of traditional cartography principles to build maps that are dense and deep, yet clear and comprehensive. Our maps look to bring answers to complicated questions, tell detailed stories, entertain, and inform. Maps have the power to move and influence and we know that red push pins can’t tell every story. We bring a diverse skill set to the table- ranging from hand illustration to interactive data mashups, to complex digital animations. We have a strong appreciation for artistic quality as well as the technical knowledge to design dynamic digital cartography. We want to help you organize, reshape, and articulate your world.
