Casa Barú was founded by Dick Barba, an experienced distiller with more than 20 years in the spirits industry, to realize his vision of bringing to life the finest spirits. The company ferments artisanal sugarcane syrup and distills in traditional copper pot stills using scotch whisky distillation methods to create premium rums. They work closely with local farms in Chiriqui ensuring sustainable practices and fair prices, and are keen to share their love of Panama’s culture and rich rum tradition with the world.
