About CaSIG - Civic and Social Innovation Group
. Founded in 2017 by professors Marla A. Parker and Dmitri Seals, the Group now engages dozens of community partners and reaches over 200 students per semester across a variety of disciplines. Through courses, events, and partnerships, CaSIG helps students transform their passion into tangible, innovative, rigorously designed solutions. Inspired by the strengths of this minority-serving institution where over 70% of enrolled students are first generation college attendees, our mission is to equip every student with the capacity to spark innovations in their careers and for their communities.
