The photographic society of IIEST, Shibpur, erstwhile B.E. College is over a decade old family of engineers turned photographers. Catharsis started off way back in 1971 as BECHPHOS - B.E. College Photographic Society and today, all photography enthusiasts among the college students who wish to explore this field of art are welcome to be a part of the organization.
We hold regular sessions on photography, photo, and video editing, etc. Photowalks and workshops on various related topics are conducted throughout the year so students can garner their photography skills. Apart from taking up several projects in association with the institute, an annual photo tour is also organized for the interested club members.
