Catholic Textbook Project

Our team of passionate Catholic educators launched Catholic Textbook Project in 2000 to create textbooks proceeding from the insight that mankind and history are transformed irrevocably by Christ and his Church. This allows us to focus on the facts of history without prejudice or bias, helping students uncover the full story. Without the Church, history would not be the same. We tell that story fully and accurately. We take pride in producing textbooks that are Catholic, authentic, and engaging! Focused on the facts of history, without prejudice or bias, Catholic students can finally uncover what truly happened in history. History and social studies resources no longer awaken wonder in students and contribute to a decrease in historical literacy. The last series of history and social studies textbooks distinctively for Catholic schools were created in the late 1960s. Since then, teachers in Catholic schools have been forced to use either outdated materials or secular textbooks that often (and increasingly) carry anti-Catholic bias and distortions. The Catholic Textbook Project was formed to reignite curiosity and offer our students the full story of history. Our team—a group of passionate Catholic educators—launched Catholic Textbook Project in 2000 to create textbooks that proceed from the insight that mankind and history have been transformed irrevocably by Christ and his Church.
