Celera was established in 2013 by TCG, an asset management and specialty advisory firm, to consolidate and spin out its regulatory, technology and business infrastructure. The founding family of TCG has a background in the chemicals and electronics industries dating back to 1918 in Shanghai and 1950 in Hong Kong.
TCG and Celera’s mandate from inception has been to identify liquid and uncorrelated investments and advising family offices and family businesses. As Celera has historically deployed capital for and serviced the diverse needs of the founding family and affiliated families, the focus has always been on risk adjusted performance rather than capacity and accelerated learning to master new areas.
Celera has a diverse global team with industry experience spanning financial and non-financial sectors.
