CELiD Biotechnologies Inc. (CBI) is a pioneering biotechnology company dedicated to advancing the field of gene therapy for genetic metabolic disorders and rare diseases. Our mission is to develop the next generation of AAV-like, non-viral gene therapy medicines that offer breakthrough treatment options.
In 2013, our founder, Dr. Lina Li, made a groundbreaking discovery by identifying the closed-ended linear duplex DNA, known as CELiD DNA or ceDNA. This remarkable finding forms the basis of a novel non-viral gene therapy platform, which holds great potential for curing diseases and developing vaccines.
Currently, we commercially produce customized ceDNA and rAAV vectors under licenses obtained from Dr. Li's influential research conducted at the prestigious National Institutes of Health (NIH).
