CELINE project

Funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe Programme, CELINE (Cross-sectorial integrated digital services Enabling energy Localized InnovatioN and community Empowerment) aims to transform the energy sector through digital innovation and citizen participation. The project is dedicated to fostering the development of Energy Communities, enabling a more accessible and resilient energy system across Europe. At the core of CELINE is the Digital Toolbox, designed for households, energy communities, and cooperative groups to optimize energy management and empower consumers. Through a participatory, cross-sectoral, and technology-driven approach, CELINE addresses regulatory, technical, and economic barriers, providing a harmonized framework for local energy production, consumption, and market participation. The CELINE Consortium is composed of 15 partners from Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Italy, and Spain, bringing together expertise in energy, technology, and community engagement. The project’s demonstrators in Spain, Finland, and Italy will serve as real-world testing grounds, marking a significant step forward in the transition toward a decentralized and sustainable energy future.
