CELLEC Biotek AG is a biotechnology startup founded in Basel (Switzerland) in February 2011 as a spin-off of Prof. Ivan Martin’s lab, a world leader expert of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. Cellec develops and produces devices (the “bioreactors”) for 3D cell culture and tissue generation. The products allow to grow 3D living tissues, as (i) advanced model systems for tissue development and drug testing, targeting the life sciences and pharmacuetical research, and as (ii) biological grafts for tissue and organ regeneration, targeting the clinical translation in regenerative medicine. Cellec goal is to become a world leader company in the sector of 3D tissue culture systems.
