The Novo Nordisk Foundation Cellerator is built on the belief that cell therapy holds the key to curing chronic or life-threatening diseases. Despite significant research progress, many promising therapies never reach patients. That is why we are creating the Cellerator, a state-of-the-art hub dedicated to advancing the cell therapy ecosystem by accelerating the development and manufacturing of cell therapies for early clinical trials. Our facility at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) will support multiple cell types and provide essential services such as process development, GMP manufacturing and release, and regulatory support.
Built to close the gap from technology to treatment, Cellerator shortens the journey from groundbreaking concepts to clinical trials. We achieve this by fostering partnerships among startups, pharmaceutical companies, and research institutions, leveraging our expertise, network, and infrastructure to develop and commercialize new cell therapies more effectively.
Cellerator, expected to be operational by 2027, is a philanthropic initiative that serves public and private clients globally, to further advance the field.
