Many organizations want to do good. Some might hope to reduce poverty, while others work to improve literacy, advance the benefits of technology, or enhance well-being. At the Center for Research Evaluation, we work with people and organizations to help find out if their work is making a positive difference. We believe that evaluation is not just a check-the-box exercise, but instead is a foundation for learning, improvement—and ultimately—doing as much good as possible. Housed within the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at the University of Mississippi, we draw from a wide range of evaluation strategies to help organizations (1) understand what is happening on the ground, (2) investigate the impact of their work, and (3) embed learning processes to support ongoing adaptation and improvement. With expertise in a wide range of evaluation methods, we work with our clients to: • design tailored evaluations that meet your needs • build your evaluation capacity • interpret evaluation findings to identify opportunities for adaptation, improvement and further growth. Established in 1999 as a resource for the University of Mississippi and the wider Mississippi community, we have worked with the University of Mississippi, the Department of Education, the Department of Defense, The National Science Foundation, and a range of local/national foundations including Kellogg, OrganWise Guys, Teacher Corps, and the Hardin Foundation.
