Founded in 1993, Centurion is a privately owned Limited Company based in the UK staffed by former British Royal Marine Commandos. Our Company prepares people both mentally and practically for dangerous work in extreme conditions. For nearly two decades, we have delivered high quality risk assessment and safety training to media workers, aid workers, NGO's and civilians who are required to work in volatile regions globally. Centurion’s HEFAT® course has become the template for hostile environment training worldwide, and is mandatory pre-departure training for most international broadcasters, an increasing number of aid agencies, NGOs and human rights organisations we work with, as well as civilian contractors to the MoD (CONDO). Our specialist company has achieved BS ISO EN 9001 status, an international mark of quality, for our training, and is registered with the British Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as a provider of approved first aid training. We aim to heighten our clients’ awareness of hidden dangers when working in areas of risk, and emphasize the vital importance of accurately identifying and assessing the level to which those dangers may affect safety and security in a wide variety of scenarios likely to be encountered in hostile environments around the world. We teach skills that will enable learners to continually to risk assess their situation, and that of their colleagues, based on known and developing factors and act accordingly.
